Purpose

The purpose of this policy is to establish the guidance to identifying all incoming visitors and to determine the necessary level of control and protection while in a GovC facility.

The proper control, identification and badge assignment of all non-GovC personnel is integral to protecting all assigned personnel within the facility and any classified and/or proprietary information; and necessary as well as to insure compliance with applicable US Government directives and regulations (DoD, DoS, DoC, etc). Policy

All GovC employees and consultants will be issued the GovC Identification Badge, it is required that all other personnel visiting and/or working at a GovC facility also be appropriately badged. Each facility will be issued the applicable visitor identification badges for either a proprietary facility or a cleared facility.

Procedures

All visitors (non-GovC employees) will be required to sign the facility’s visitor log book, be issued the appropriate Visitor Badge, sign for the numbered badge and the escort (a GovC employee) will sign for the Visitor and remain with them throughout the conclusion of the visit. The escort will return the numbered Visitor Badge to the main Visitor area, sign out the Visitor and notify the Facility Security Officer or Senior Manager if there were any issues regarding the visit, the proper protection of personnel assigned, classified and/or proprietary information, or any violations to the ITAR if the Visitor was a non-US Citizen.

This policy applies to all GovC employees; however specific responsibilities within cleared facilities are shared between the Facility Security Officer and the senior manager on site.

The GovC employee who escorts any visitor will be responsible to provide the necessary control to preclude the unauthorized disclosure of classified, proprietary, and/or privacy act information. (The Corporate Security FSO or other Corp Security staff members can also assist in providing a briefing or procedures detailing escort responsibilities). Responsibilities

It is the responsibility of each GovC employee to ensure all visitors entering a GovC facility have been properly identified, badged, and escorted, so as to properly protect the personnel and any classified and/or proprietary information.

Violations of this policy may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment.
