Statutory Authority of Post Award Audits
The Truth in Negotiations Act (TINA) expressly authorizes agencies to perform postaward audits to evaluate that the contractor provided current, complete and accurate data when certified cost or pricing data was submitted. The TINA incorporates by reference another statue authorizing agencies to audit up until 3 years after final payment.
