DCMA Small Business Process

DCMA provides contract administration services, which includes small business subcontracting oversight, to specific DoD contracts and other Federal contracts with subcontracting plans under the Small Business Administration (SBA) oversight. The DCMA Small Business (SB) Center oversees prime contractors’ subcontracting programs. Small Business Subcontracting Plans are required for contracts greater than $650,000 in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 19.702(a) (Reference (d)).


The SB Center performs reviews on DoD prime contractor compliance with their subcontracting plan requirements over which it has delegated contract administration authority in accordance with FAR 42.302 (a)(51) through (55) (Reference (e)).
