EDA is an online document access system designed to provide acquisition related information for use by all of the Department of Defense.

EDA allows a contractor to get access to contracts they have been awarded and see relevant contract information. One common use that contractors have for EDA is to be able to go into the system and see what the government has captured in their system in terms of contracts and amendments. If a contractor has lost a contract document or modification, they can usually get a copy of it automatically via EDA.

It's ironic that DCAA asks for contract documents when they are performing audits when the DFARS requires the capture of these documents. DCAA has unrestricted access to all documents, not just documents within a CAGE code or DUNS number. A contractor is normally limited to their specific documents, so for subcontractors, access is denied, however DCAA or DCMA should be of assistance.
