Overview

The DAR Council is one of two councils authorized to generate changes to the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR).


The Director of the DAR Council is the Deputy Director, Defense Procurement and Acquisition Policy (DPAP) in the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition, Technology and Logistics (USD(AT&L)).


Council members include representatives from each military department, the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA), and the Defense Contract Management Agency. A policy and a legal representative from the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) attends when invited by the Director, DPAP.[1]
