A consulting agreement is a binding agreement between two parties. The scope of a consulting agreement normally provides for support in a particular technical area. A consulting agreement is normally individuals providing expertise in a selected area, and is structured so that the individual(s) providing the services charges a specific labor hour rate, or fixed price.
